My Life as an Artist

LYNNE MARAND
I have pursued my interest in art since my teenage years. Every opportunity was taken to draw. I raised my family, worked as an accountant throughout my career, but art remained my dream.
My love of drawing gradually was overtaken by my discovery of painting and colour. I have taken private lessons, workshops and been mentored by various professional artists. At this point in time, I use brushes, palette knives, acrylic pen, paint and various mediums in my paintings. Learning more techniques and methods is a big part of my art – and so I continue to evolve.
I started showing my paintings publicly in group shows as part of various art groups then as part of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA). As an Active member of the FCA, I now have paintings hanging in collections in Canada, USA and UK. To see more of my paintings, visit my current show at the Legacy Den Gallery in Penticton.
I paint to share my love of the surrounding beauty with a side of fun and fantasy once in a while.
My website www.lynnemarandart.com displays some of my work as does my Facebook page and Instagram account (#lynnemarandart).
